Sunderbans is the largest Tiger Reserve and National Park in India and is a UNESCO World Heritage wildlife Sanctuary. The Sunderbans are part of the largest delta in the world, split by numerous rivers and water channels all emptying into the Bay of Bengal. Sunderbans are also the largest mangrove forest in the world covering an area of approximately 1330.10-sq-km. Besides Royal Bengal Tigers, Sunderbans is also popular for a variety of reptiles including Olive Ridley, Tiver Terrapin, Estuarine Crocodile, Monitor Lizard, Water Monitor, and Indian python. It is known as a paradise for birdwatchers including some endangered species.
Way to reach Sunderbans National Park: Sunderbans is an easily accessible destination with Kolkata being the closest important city (2 ½ hours driving distance & 1 ½ hours by boat).

In the morning you will be picked up from the place of your stay in Kolkatta and proceed to Sonakhali jetty, passing through beautiful countryside’s, rural bazaar and Fisherman’s village. On arrival at Sonakhali, embark in your exclusive boat and proceed to reach Sajnekhali. This is a spectacular journey passing through river Hogol, Gomor, Durgaduani, Bidya and Gumdi. On arrival at Gosaba- one of the earliest human settlements of Sunderbans, visit the house of Sir Danniel Hamilton-a Scottish banker who initiated the first co-operative movement of India here. An expert naturalist will be accompanying you during your entire Sunderbans tour. Later you will be transferred to your wildlife resort. After brief leisure and have lunch, depart to Sudhanyakhali watch tower by boat to track the wildlife of Sunderbans. Enjoy the panoramic view of the jungle from watch tower. Return back to your hotel by sundown and enjoy evening tea/coffee with snacks. Later enjoy dinner and overnight stay at your resort.
This day enjoy a full day cruising in the mangrove forest to track the wildlife of Sunderbans. Post breakfast proceed for a canopied walk at Dobanki. Later enjoy a jungle safari inside creeks and dense forest of Sunderban. In this safari, you will reach to the furthest point of Sunderband i.e. Netidhopani. Here you will get to see the age-old excavations. If lucky, you can spot the famous swimming tigers of Sunderbans. You may also encounter Crocodiles and the elusive Irrawady Dolphins. Lunch will be served on board. Return back to your resort by evening.
Enjoy the morning in the beautiful jungle. Visit the Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower. Breakfast will be served on boat during the safari. Later return back to your hotel for lunch. Post lunch proceed to reach Sonakhali. On arrival at Sonakhali, you will be assisted by our executive and will be transferred to Kolkata airport or the place of your stay in Kolkatta. Tour ends.
